Frequently Asked Questions

  • Are all backer features available right away?

    Not yet, Submit is under active development, backer features are being rolled out as general features are rolled out. Due to this monthly countdowns are paused until all Backer features are enabled. That means if you back today for 3 months, you'll get immediate access to what is available today and the 3 month countdown won't start until all features are available.

  • What payment methods do you accept?

    Anything that Patreon accepts, currently most major credit cards and PayPal. We'll be adding additional methods including: Cyrptocurrencies, Checks, and ACH/Wire Transfers.

  • Why is backing done through Patreon?

    Patreon is a safe and reputable way to allow us to quickly collect support while we work through the larger payment processor onboarding process.

  • Do you automatically renew backing?

    If you sign up for the $6 USD/mo backer option, yes, we do. If you sign up for any other other options, we do not (please make sure you follow the instructions below!).

  • How do I purchase a multi-month package?

    Due to the way patreon is setup, this is slightly convoluted. Select the multi-month package that you want, sign-up, confirm that you've been charged, and then cancel the membership. This will result in you only being charged once and prevent any recurring charges. For more details, you can view Patreon's help page by clicking here.

  • How do I purchase a lifetime package?

    Due to the way patreon is setup, this is slightly convoluted. Select the lifetime package that you want, sign-up, confirm that you've been charged, and then cancel the membership. This will result in you only being charged once and prevent any recurring charges. For more details, you can view Patreon's help page by clicking here.

  • Do lifetime packages have any additional perks?

    Lifetime options have the same core benefits as all backer pacakges, you just get them for life! The only difference between lifetime and ultra lifetime and monthly backer options are the achievement and badges that come with them.

  • Can I get a refund?

    Yes - refunds can be requested for up to 3 days after your transaction. We have two simple rules with refunds:

    1. Refunds are limited to one per human.
    2. You cannot refund backer options that are gifted.

    If you'd like to request a refund, please send an email to refunds@submit.gg.

  • What shows up on my card statement?

    Submit's name will not be included on your statement. Your payment will be processed as Patreon and listed as one of the following line items:

    • PATREON* Membership
    • CKO Patreon* Membership
    • PAYPAL *PATREON IN

  • Can I send this as a gift to someone?

    Yes! When you choose to back Submit financially, you'll receive a backer code, you can choose to use this code yourself, or give it as a gift. Each code is one-time-use, doesn't expire, and is good for whatever term of time that you choose to back for (you cannot gift $6 month-to-month backer codes).
