Launch Updates

We have slowly started to open up our doors to the public, learn more about what’s going on here!

We’ve experienced exceptional demand for Submit, with over 35,000 humans on our waitlist (and growing!), we’ve had to slow down our launch process to ensure you receive the best possible experience. For real time updates on our launch, the #launch-updates channel on our Discord server maintains the most up-to-date information on our launch process.

If you want to learn more about our launch process, this post will hopefully explain most things for you.

Rolling Out

Due to the exceptional demand we’re seeing, we’ve had to change the way that we’re launching Submit. Traditionally, we’d just turn everything on and let you go wild, but with a very small team and a very large amount of people kicking our door down, launching like that would most likely end badly.

To ensure that we release a platform that provides you with safe, secure, and awesome experience, we’re enabling our features one at a time, to small groups of users. Users that currently have access to Submit can manage their available features in their Early Access Portal.

Why are we rolling out like this?

There are two major reasons that we’re doing this:

  1. To catch major bugs or issues before they hit a large group of people. If two or three hundred people experience a major issue with a feature, it’s easy enough for us to roll it back and fix it. If 20,000 or 30,000 people experience it, its a headache than can take weeks to fix.
  2. To prevent an overwhelming amount of reports and feedback. Similar to the first reason, we can manage a few hundred users reporting issues, we can’t easily handle tens of thousands doing this.

With the extreme amount of demand we’re seeing, this is the process that makes the most sense (we originally expected to launch to 500 people!). We know that it sucks to have to wait for things, but this is the best way to ensure that you get the best experience and we do our job of keeping your data safe.

So… when do I get in?!

If you’re an Early Adopter or Backer, and have joined our Discord Server, you should have already received your invite to create your account.

If you are on the general waitlist (which is mostly everyone), we will start to begin processing the waitlist on Monday, April 10th. We will send out batches each day, starting with 500 and ramping up to 3,000 daily until we’ve worked our way through the waitlist. We expect to get through our current waitlist within 2 weeks.

Can I get in faster and help test?

Yes, backers that join our Discord and link their account can opt-in to receiving an invite. This is the only guaranteed way to get in early.

Within the next 24 hours, we’ll also be opening up another round of Early Adopter invites. In order to be considered for an Early Adopter invite you need to have joined our Discord Server and indicated your interest in the appropriate channel (you can find details on which channel in our #announcements channel).

I’d like to highlight the support of all of our incredible Backers and express my deepest thanks for their support and help in achieving our mission and goals.

Thank you for all of your support and your patience while we get through our initial launch, I can’t wait to see all of you on Submit!
